Tips and ideas to help your planning go a little smoother

favours

Wedding favours

Give your loved ones something to remember your special day by.

Show your appreciation for their attendance and thank them for being a part of your life.

  1. Personalised items. These could include anything from custom-made jewellery to engraved glassware.

  2. Edible (and drinkable!) treats. These could include everything from homemade cookies to gourmet truffles.

  3. Seasonal items. These could include anything from fresh flowers to locally made honey.

  4. Experiences. Anything from tickets to a concert to a gift certificate for a massage.

  5. Charitable donations. Instead of traditional favours, you could donate to a charity close to your heart. This is a great way to give back to the community and make a difference in the world.

When choosing wedding favours, it is important to consider the following factors:

  1. Your budget. Favours can range in price from a few pounds to hundreds of pounds. It is important to set a budget before you start shopping.

  2. Your guests. Consider what your family and guests would like and appreciate. If there are a lot of children, you might want to choose favours that are edible or that they can play with (it'll help to keep them entertained during those speeches). For adults, you might want to choose favours that are a little more sophisticated.

  3. The season. If you are getting married in the autumn, you might want to choose autumn-themed favours. If you are getting married in the summer, you might want to choose summer-themed favours.

  4. Your personal style. Choose favours that reflect your personal style. If you are a foodie, you might want to choose edible favours. If you are a nature lover, you might want to choose favours that are made from natural materials.

Budgeting

Budgeting

Create a budget that works for you, your loved one, and your wedding.

Planning your wedding budget is a crucial part of the wedding process. It’s important to be realistic about what you can afford and not get carried away with spending. Set aside a certain amount for each category, such as venue, food, dresses/tuxedos, and entertainment. This will help you to stay on track and prevent you from overspending. Before you make any decisions, review your budget and make sure you have enough allocated to cover all the expenses. Be sure to set aside some funds to cover any unexpected costs that may arise. With careful planning and budgeting, you can have the wedding of your dreams without breaking the bank!

  1. Set a budget. The first step is to set a budget for your wedding. This will help you narrow down your options and make decisions about what is important to you.

  2. Make a list of priorities. Once you have a budget, make a list of your priorities for your wedding. What is the most important thing to you? Is it the wedding venue? The Wedding Photographer? The food? The flowers? Once you know what is important to you, you can start making decisions about where to spend your money.

  3. Get quotes from vendors. Once you have a list of vendors, get quotes from them. This will help you compare prices and find the best deals.

  4. Be flexible with your budget. It is important to be flexible with your budget. Things will inevitably come up that you didn't expect, so it is important to have some wiggle room in your budget.

  5. Don't forget the details. It is easy to get caught up in the big things, but don't forget about the details. The details can make a big difference in your wedding, so make sure to allocate for them.

  6. Ask for help. If you are struggling to budget for your wedding, ask for help from your family and friends. They may be able to help you find deals or save money on certain things.

  7. Don't go into debt. It is important to not go into debt for your wedding. If you can't afford something, don't do it. There are plenty of ways to have a beautiful wedding without spending a ton of money.
